yes, going over half of your limit will lower your score. the best way to raise your score is to decrease your debt (pay it down). if you have good credit standing, you can also ask for a limit increase which will help you stay under half your limit.

Hate this card. Cash Back offer sucks now. ABSOLUTELY hate their service. Went online for a dispute with no resolution. Called them and there was no resolution. Finally WALKED INTO THE BRANCH, took the banker like 30 minutes to call three different people and STILL he said you have to "call" and talk to them. OKAY RUDE chase people, after all my attempts to resolve my issues, nothing was done. recommending EVERYONE LEAVE CHASE and go to Discover and if you can, AMEX.

This card TOTALLY SUCKS. I applied and got approved. They did not offer me 0% APR for first 6 months. I called them and couldn't get an answer from the customer service guy, walked into the bank and all they did was call customer service, and they said this wasn't part of the offer even though it is clearly STATED here AND they are offering it in the bank right now as we speak. So, clearly I am going to transfer my balance and sign up for a different card. Shame on you CHASE. So rude.
