It sounds like you may have failed a portion of the automated security questionnaire.   Instead of denying your application, we give you a chance to fix the problem by sending in evidence of your identification.

We never suggest you send it by email.  Please do not ever send anything to us by unsecured email.  If you have a way to encrypt it, please do that.  Otherwise, you can send it in by regular mail.  It is also possible to answer the questions with a live Representative.  Sometimes, people fail that as well so we then require formal proof of your identity - just like any bank is required to do when tthey open an account.

Remember, we do not evaluate your credit for approval so we must make sure we have proper identification for all customers.

Thank you for your application for a card.  Once your deposit clears, it generally takes about 2 weeks to get the card.  If you chose Rush Service, you will reduce your delivery time from 2 weeks  to 2-3 days.

There is no real minimum.  You just have to have enough income left over at the end of the month to make the minimum payment.

We go through extensive measures to be clear in our disclosures and with the information we give to customers.  The card is secured and will remain secured for the life of the card.  When the card is paid off and the account is closed, we will refund the entire security deposit.

Getting a credit line increase is easy.  As long as you have the ability to handle the higher credit line, you should be ok.  We do not use credit scores to determine eligibility so being approved is pretty easy.

Our Public Savings Bank secured Visa credit card is meant to help those with no credit to establish their credit and also to help those with damaged credit to rebuild and re-establish this credit history.

There is no minimum income requirement, but you must show your ability to repay the debt.  So the application will ask you for your monthly income and expenses.

I'm glad to report that the TU issues have been resolved.  You will begin to see the TU tradeline within a few days after your statement period ends.  For example, if your new statement is sent on November 3, within a few days from that date you will see the tradeline.

The EZ Card site has been intermittent over the last couple days.  Remember, you can always call the automated line to check balances and make payments.  There is no fee to make a payment through the automated Pay by Phone feature.  The phone number is 800-237-6211.

Yes, you can have up to 2 cards with an aggregate credit line of $2,000.  After at least 4 months, you have the option to raise it to $5,000.

You may want to try a secured credit card. If you're unaware of how a secured credit card works, it requires a security deposit and for a Public Savings Bank secured Visa credit card, your security deposit is your credit line. Therefore, you can choose any amount between $300 - $2,000 and whatever amount you choose, you'll send us that amount and then we'll send you a card.

Our card has no interest rates on purchases for the first 6 months and we don't check your credit upon application. As long as you can verify the following 4 pieces of information, you will be accepted:

1. Be able to successfully verify your identity

2. Be able to successfully fund your security deposit with a minimum of $300

3. Be at least 18

4. Be able to show your ability to repay your debt each month

We believe secured credit cards are a great option for college students looking to establish credit.  Remember, prepaid cards and debit cards do not establish credit.  You need a credit card to establish tradelines on your credit report and thus impact your credit score.  A secured card is a great option if you cannot get an unsecured card.

Good question.  You can start with as little as $300 plus the one time $75 application fee.  Then, when you have the additional deposit, send it in to increase your credit line.  There are no fees to increase your credit line in the first year, so you can do it anytime you want.

As a side note, you are 100% correct about rental cars.  you cannot use a debit or prepaid card for this.  This is another big advantage of secured cards over prepaid cards.

First, thank you for being a customer.  we love engaging our customers to get their feedback and thoughts on our product.  As you point out, we are still working through the customer service kinks but I'm confident it will be ironed out soon.

The new website has much better functionality over the old one.  Aside from the technical help line, is there a feature on the old site that is missing on the new one?  We would love to hear specific examples.

Your last point is a little more complicated.  We currently have no plans to graduate our card in to an unsecured offer.  We like this space and feel we can be exceptional just focusing on this product.  It falls in to our philosphy of credit education and fical responsibility.  It's one of the reasons we spend alot of time on CreditKarma so much.

I think those credit scores are listed there because it is the result of CK's own research.   We do not use credit scores for your approval.  In fact, we do not use a credit report at all so there would be no way for us to report this information.

Yes, you can open an account for at least $300 then add to it at any time.  you can go to $2000 in your first 4 months, then up to $5000 over the lifetime of your account.  There is no fee for this for the first year, but will be $25 for each increase beginning in year 2.

We fully disclose this fee on the top of our Cardholder Agreement as well as in our application.  Do you think the fee is confusing or not properly placed?

It is a one time application fee of $75.  There are no monthly or annual fees either.  We also have a great rate so together with the low fees make it a great choice for a secured card.
