Don't let credit card rating be an annoyance to your financial life. It's was design to be bias against consumers. Banks spend millions and millions of dollars lobbying congress to get favorable legislation and to ensure consumers get a raw deal. There are 8 lobbyists for every congressperson. So consumers protection never get a fair shake to do its job. One way to beat the banks/credit issuers is to pay your bills in full at the end of each period and in time. They hate it becos' they get no interest (if no bal outstanding) and borrowers get to use free credit during grace period. Practice that and you will be fine. Don't worry about credit score!!

I strongly caution having a credit report send to you at public e-mail for obvious reason. Have the cr report send to your secured e-mail and your husband's at publice e-mail like yahoo.

A great idea and it spreads the risk. Question is who gets repaif 1st when there are 200 lenders for one person?

Becos' Cr Card companies (major banks) are hoarding cash since they carry toxic assets on their balance sheets. And, they enjoyed almost monopolistic market, thus getting away with higher rate even for those with good cr scores.
