First PREMIER® Bank Credit Card

First PREMIER® Bank Credit Card

Just looking at the fine print I decided to put a big X through the print, write no thank you, fold it up in the prepaid envelope and mail it back to them.   $700 credit limit and a start up membership fee of $175  with a low, low 36% interest rating on 27 billing days.  That means it's always changing.  Does your pay date always move three days closer? I wouldn't take this card out even if my life depended on it.   From reading the fine print, it was full of nice little charges that they are waiting and standing by to hit you with.    Take it or leave it.  I say leave it.   Don't get burned by these lawyers who don't care about you but only care to milk you money from you.

Why is it that all the glowing reviews are at the front but the real story are the people pushed to the back of the bus?

It's a revenue maker for the company and a trap for the unsuspecting consumer.  AVOID THIS TRAP.

Almost any business that pays the membership fees of the BBB keeps an A+ rating.   If the BBB receives a complaint that doesn't look good, I've seen them reply that they will keep it on file for "informational purposes."  Thus, the complaint is swept under the rug. I wouldn't trust this company.  They sound too shady.   They are wanting to hook you and are playing good credit card bad credit card in this economy to get you to fork over your money, late fees, over the limit fees, wrong mailing day fees, woke up too late fees, not eating your spinish fees.  You get the picture. The only ones saying this is a good place to do business with are likely employees who sit at a computer all day writing such reviews. Don't fall for them.

Ok, you build your credit up 3 points a month.   That's 12 points a year.    How many years do you think it'll take you at this rate to get to around 725 to 750 to get good credit?  Ten years would be 120 points.  Now, figure the cost of this card versus the number of years you have to keep it going and you'll be on Social Securitiy before you finish.

I really have an issue with believing you that you got a card from this outfit with a 9.9%.  Or did you mean to say 99%?  That's believable.

If you're paying a membership fee, you're using it and it's using you.

Um, exucuse you for passing gas, no.   He didn't say it rebuilt his credit.  He said it helped him build credit.  Likely he did this on his own.  Who starts out a reply with "excuse me" unless it's someone working for the company doing damage control? As far as using this card and paying it off every month.  No thanks.  I got an offer for one of these hooks with a start up fee of $175 at 36% interest on 27 day billing cycles.    This is not for rebuilding credit, it's for making a few lawyers and bankers richer.

$25 bucks to raise a credit limit?   And this isn't against the law?   The only ones saying what a great card this is are the people working for the company.

That's only a rise of 50 points.  A 564 credit score and a dollar will not even get you a loan for  a cup of coffee these days.  Primier has it all figured out, high start up fees, high interest, short billing cycles so it slips your mind.  This card is designed to make people fail not help them.

The three and four star ratings sound like plants to me.   There's plenty of fish in the sea and you don't have to be eaten alive by this primier shark.
