I have a credit limit on all cards combined of around 5000 dollars and I am in the 702 range according to American Express Credit Secure. On CreditKarma I have a 667 but it's been going up and down a lot. Last month it was 711.

All of you who are saying this is a joke and the fee is crazy have no idea what you are talking about.
The benefits you get with this card are worth more than the 495 fee a year. You get access to airport lounges which alone will run you as high as 700 dollars a year.
This is a great card if you are lucky enough to get approved.

@mariposa Plat is harder to get than Gold. I want this card too but I am waiting to build my credit. Amex is picky.

Why not? Other similar cards charge yearly fees.

Orchard Bank after 2 years of being with them for me anyway, returned my security deposit with interest (also gave me the option to put it towards my account). 6 Months later they lowered the monthly fee to 19 a month and the interest rate, what started off with a 200 dollar secured credit limit with a 70 dollar anual fee is now a 500 unsecured card with a 19 dollar anual fee.

Big disapointment.

I forgot to mention this in my original post, but this card is so great at rebuilding credit that Chase recomended it to me. Said to start with this card before getting their card.

I got an orchard bank card 2 years ago
after a year they unsecured it and raised my limit 100 dollars and refunded my 200 dollars I paid to secure it.
6 months after that they increased my limit to 1000 and lowered my monthly fee from 69.95 (yes a lot) down to 19 a year, and also lowered my interest rate.
After they unsecured my card, I applied for the CaptOne card that was offered on this site and got approved.
Their CS is based in some other country but they tend to be nice and helpful, only problem is they always try to sell you something.

@Docjmartin that is exactly what I did.
After 2 years though I didn't apply for a credit card, after the 2nd year Orchard returned my initial deposit and increased my limit to 300.
Now I have a Cap One card with 1000 limit. (This very offer on this CK page)

WaMu is great and it will get even better with Chase.
Chase is a bit more pricey than WaMu but the services they offer are worth it.
I pay 26 dllars a month in Fees on my Chase Checking Premier account, but because I have that 26 dollar a month fee, they waive the 75 dollar anual fee for my Safety Deposit Box, they give me Free Checks, the waive the Fee on my Savings account regardless if they are at the minimum balance or not, they also wave the fee on my business accounts.
They also offer liesure rewards and with my Points I was able to get 2 round trip tickets to Hawaii for FREE!!!
Love Chase and WaMu costumers will love them too.

How long did it take you guys to see a hit on your credit after you applied for the card?
I so far haven't seen any decrease in my credit score and it's been more than a month.

@cedavis2 that is weird they never up'ed your limit, my limit has already been up'ed on mines and I just had it 2 weeks, not sure if an error or not.
My girl friend who has a CapitalOne Card had a 3,000 limit in September and in November they raised it to 4,0000.
