I had a Dividend Rewards card with them for years - then they changed the program and force folks in mass to the new program. It did not matter that the old program was still in place for some. Typical marketing, they pushed it a new and improved which it was not. The new card was reported to the credit bureaus as not having a spending limit which raised utilitazion. That by itself was not a big deal for me as it was for some. More recently, they resumed reporting credit limit which raised total credilt possible causing some other lenders to be nervious. They are very slow communicating the 5% rewards categories. I do like the health care and utilities for the first quarter of 2012. My problem is I have made good use of the balance transfer program. Now if I charge to get the 5% rebate, interest is charged at 21%. I can't win for loosing.

Since it is your oldest card, keep it for aging reasons, but do report the card missing. Cards not accounted for are a major danger.

If you now have a couple of Visa or MasterCards, then consider closing the store cards unless they provide a benefit you use. i.e. Kohls has a monthly in store bonus for Kohls cardholders.
Keep the oldest of your cards for aging reasons.

when doing the following, remember to limit the number of applications and credit bureau inquiries to no more than 3 per 12 months. Fewer is better.
Use your improved credit to acquire a prime no fee card. I recommend either Visa or MasterCard. After you have used it a couple of months and paid each month in full, you should cancel the fee cards at least a month prior to the next scheduled fee if it is an annual fee. Assuming you have them paid in full as you say, close the highest fee cards first.
Visit with your banker where you have a good relationship and have not bounced checks for at least a year. Ask for their help. Explain you are upgrading your credit cards and not seeking to increase your total credit. Tell them your plan to close some accounts as soon as you receive the better grade cards. Seek their help and advice.
Your credit score may take a hit due to older cards being canceled, but it will be worth it to your pocket book.

I've had this card for several years. The background colors offered are more than one. They showed a green background. Mine is a sharp black with two initials. That helps me separate it from other cards I carry such as the auth user Discover card for a family member.
I do not recommend Discovercard for the rewards. The targeted rewards are fine if you are shopping those kinds of places at the right time. We only use the targeted rewards for this card. Otherwise we use a different card.

I appreciate being able to get an estimate of the most likely loan amount possible for a reverse mortage without giving personal info.
Thanks Quicken Loans! I'll pass, but you saved both of use time and effort.
