I agree good questions. I am currently going through the process of a short sale and am experiencing the credit consequences behind it. The process has been going on for almost a year and my credit score has dropped at 80 to 100 points. Additionally, creditors either call or send a letter saying they are going to cancel the card(s). It is nerve wrecking just going through the process but I believe this is a good way to move forward if the short sale is approved by the bank. California Resident
