Offered by: Rudder
Rudder is a simple solution that saves you time & effort by providing informative updates about your financial health. Instead of dwelling on the past, we focus on what lies ahead & let you know what you can do to stay on track starting today.
Break Tradition, Look Forward
Traditionally, "personal finance management" PFM tools dwell on analyzing the past and let you know where you went wrong. Great! Now What?
At Rudder we take a different approach by actually helping you make better financial decisions. By having us look out for what lies ahead; you can make informed decisions about your spending. The key is in knowing how much you can really afford to spend and still meet your commitments and goals. By helping you make better choices today, we're avoiding situations where you're wondering about the mistakes you made!
Key Benefits
The Secret Ingredients
Our "What's Left" widget uses some cool technology to help predict your future Cash Flow. Rudder does the math based on your upcoming bills, future paydays and even calculates the how much of your future credit card statement balances will be. Never be surprised by those huge credit card statements. Better yet, the What's Left widget will always make sure that you don't add on any more credit card debt.
If the "What's Left" feature lets you know how much you can spend, the Spend Meter lets you know how fast you're burning through it. It's really quite simple. Based on your income and known expenses, we come up with a number that you should be spending over a given period. The moment you spend over, we'll let you know!
We want Analysis NOT Paralysis!
Ever get frustrated trying to identify the problem areas by staring at a pie chart? Once again, Rudder does the work, so you don't have to. Sure, we show you all the pie charts and bar graphs. But we also pin point the problem areas and show you trends that help you figure out what the problems are.
Kill Bills
We've got your back - Rudder will automatically detect most of your bills and will remind you when they are due. With our streamlined bill management tool it's simple to add and remove bills. We send you reminders when bills are due and automatically scratch them off your list when we see a payment come through.
One Size Does NOT Fit All
Financial Health means different things to different people. Some of us are working on building up that emergency fund (you should be doing this if you already haven't); or some of us are trying to pay off that old college loan (we hate those too!). By offering each of our features in the form of widgets, you can pick and choose what you find useful and ignore the rest. You can even customize the layout of the product to suit your needs.
You Want It All and You Want It Delivered
Ever been so caught up with your day to day life that you forget to check on your finances? Well, join the club. It's hard to stay on top all the time. Rudder makes it easy. If you don't feel like logging on all the time, that's ok, we'll deliver it for you, for free! Just set the frequency of your reminders and you'll get rich emails with the content that matches our website. Your pizza guy could learn a thing or two from us.

I find the What's Left feature pretty useful. I've paid more than my share in overdraft fees in the past, so I find the automatic projection pretty useful!

I was particularly interested in seeing all of my accounts in one place but this offer has quite a ways to go before it will be useful to me. Overall it seems very useful but there are similar tools developed years ago that have progressed overtime. The other places, now years later, still fail to allow users to view "all" of their accounts in one place. If you are interested in Rudder for the same reasons that I tried it, you may be disappointed.

Big disapointment.

Underestimated this product when I first signed up. But, after setting it up right, I (for once) have an idea of what lies ahead. For example, I now know that I need to transfer some money from my savings to my checking a couple of weeks from now to avoid overdrafting.

I live by the "What's Left" now, it's great for planning my weekly spending. I also haven't missed any of my NON-autopay bills since I got this. :D

I was able to add all of my accounts. I have CC accounts with chase , citi , wachovia and fia card services(formerly mbna). I have a saving and checking account with chase and another with wachovia. It was able to add all of my account. I really like the overview page; it was one stop page for getting all my account balances, recent activity , bills and what's left (cash flow) number in one place. We need more offers like this from credit karma!!!

I couldn't add my bank or account because the program didn't recognize it. Boo

It could access my banking info but not my credit cards to the account. If you are military it won't bring up the military stars, Chase, and certain military banks.
