Reply Cancel ReplyAtually BofA has a portfolio which existed long before Mint.com and the likes. It's definitely not as robust as Mint.com, however, I feel more secure, if they do infact store your Passwords in plain text, that should be a violation of ethics and compliance. I only added my CC's and not bank info to Mint, the last thing you want, is someone hacking one password (mint account) and having access to all your personal financial details."

Reply Cancel ReplyAs any free product it has its bugs and quirks. All in all I think it works really well. Yes the automated process puts things in wrong categories but you just have to fix it. Duplication occurs but that isn't always Quickens fault sometimes when it gathers Info the company sends information it has already sent.
Sine they make TurboTax I use Quicken but other services do the same thing.
Just pick the name you are comfortable with to store your Online Logins."

Reply Cancel ReplyCan't complain. I have been using Quicken (Online Version) for a little over 4 months now. It has worked great for me so far and I have been able to make it work with all my different accounts including banks, mortgages, credit unions, etc, etc..."

Reply Cancel ReplyJust a heads uo....As the guys over at Newsvine note "Mint just puts a really nice wrapper on top of what Yodlee offers" (See http://finalcut.newsvine.com/_news/2008/02/13/1299858-yodlee-even-mintier-than-mint ). So if you like Mint you might also take a look at Yodlee.
Frankly I don't trust either of them, due to the extremely shaky method they use to actually get your data (read: screen scraping the original sites)"

Reply Cancel ReplyWhat's worse is now they have mandatory upgrades to their software that they charge you a whopping $60.00 bucks for. Don't want to pay it -- you loose your ability to perform account downloads such as credit card charges, bank balances, etc. Excel spreadsheet -- here I come."

Reply Cancel ReplyI set up my account and even attached my checking account to it. It has the balance from two days ago... not current. How does that help me budget it when right off the bat it is off. No thank you."
