It would probably be a good deal and I would consider looking into it further - but I live in NC. That's a bit of a drive to open a bank account don't ya think. It would be great if they had the offer open for online applications.

6 months after ProVision's January 31 post, and First Banking Center is still requiring customer to come in to the bank? Why advertise nationally if your product is only available locally?

I've been with them for a couple months. I did manage to loose my ATM card this past month so I got the 0.50% rate for the month. Normally though, it's not an issue as I buy lunch at the grocery store at least 10 times a month. The ATM replacement card is a "10-14 days" thing and I'm still waiting on mine so they weren't kidding. Overall though, I'm happy with them as long as the 6.01% rate stays.

Does not make sense why they would not offer online account set up. But, I am sure there is a reason why. Hopefully it's not stupidity.

Great if you live near a branch. They need to make online account setup.

They appear to have an online app now, is this true? If so, this is a great offer.

nevermind.. it appears you still have to go into a branch to finish the application.
