The cost for each package is on the website. However, when renewing the contract for whatever the term, they again offer a discount (in my case $100). Overall Dish is a much better value than cable."

Anybody with DISH care to comment on what the "real" price of the service is 12 months into it; what the monthly bill comes out to once all these promos expire?"

I took this offer a few months ago, I cancelled the movie channels when they expired. Our bill is $28/month right now because it's $6 or $7 for local channels. After the 6 months is up it should be $50 to $55 per month for the basic package. I believe it's a 2 year contract, so don't think about cancelling service after the deal is over unless you want to pay them fees."
