Discover sucks. I applied for this card a year or two ago (shortly after I turned 18)...they wanted me to jump through a bunch of hoops to actually get the card. This included obtaining an *actual* transcript/enrollment records from my school; apparently one printed online wasn't good enough for them. However Citi gave me a $2000 CL mtvU card with no questions asked. (IDK what my credit score was, but I never had any late payments or defaulted accounts.)

My wife was approved for one of these without having any credit history, it has helped us get her score up over 700 in a rather short time.
