I opened this card about 3 and half years ago. I was given an initial credit line of 200.00. I now have a credit limit of $1150 and a average Fico of 710. First Premier did help my credit by giving me another credit line. The account has grown though I've heard that First Premier accounts top out around a 1500.00 credit limit. The account has done what it was intended too. I will leave it as a sock draw card and keep it open for the history.

Yes, This card has a lot of fees like the $7.00 to pay online or the monthly $7.00 monthly servicing fee. But, please get this card. I had my bankruptcy discharged in 10/2009. I opened this card account in 09/2009. after bankruptcy my credit score was 591 as of today it is 645. I went to purchase a new car last week and didn't have to put any money down and my APR is 12.9% . The rate is much better than what other people have been offer. In 02/2009 i will be sent an additional card. Also I have just been approved for a Chase card. Invest, invest.

I had this card for over a year and just ran my yearly report and they are not even on there so they didnt report anything at all! They charge HUUUUGE fees for everything including making your freaking payment which they charge 7.95 to do. If you want to look at your account online they want 10 bucks a month for that and then there are the yearly fees. They harrassed me constantly about opening a new card but wanted rediculous fees and interest rates. I paid mine off and closed it.I would rather have no credit and let my score stay the same than to pay their outrageous fees.

I've had this card for a year and nine months. I have made all my payments on time and generally paid more than minimum payment of $25. I haven't seen much of an improvement to my credit score, although it has gone up slightly. The fees are a bit ridiculous, when I received the card originally, the available credit was only $50. I keep receiving offers to open a second card through First Premier Bank with a higher credit limit, but am reluctant to do so. The only positive thing that has come from being a cardholder is their accurate monthly reporting to the credit bureaus.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. What a POS card...between the 36% interest rate, $95.00 processing fee, $75.00 annual fee, and $8 monthly fee, you're really better off putting that money on a secured card with Capital One or something. This card was even worse in 2006 when I had it; back then they charged all this crap up front and you ended up with $50 available credit by the time you got the thing (they had to clean up their act a bit after the new credit card regulations). There are better choices out there. Don't put yourself through the hassle.
