Sorry But if you really need to get a Platinum card and have lousy credit this is not as bad as it seems. It will eventually lead you to better credit card offers. I tried it and the system works "

Reply Cancel ReplyI kept getting really bad offers in the mail because I didn't have great credit and then one day Capital One sent me an offer with a $300 limit no annual fees and other perks. After a few months my limit is up to $550. I have had no problems with my capital one card compared to when I was young and before you could easily pay online. At that time I felt like I was being completely taken advantage of by Capital One. "
I do not recommend this particular card and suggest that you pay off bad debt and get your name out there so you can receive offers in the mail and eventually a fair and good card will come along. A card with no fees. "
My credit rating at the time I got the card in the mail was at least in the high 500s low 600s so I have to say that I appreciate CAP ONE now and haven't had one single issue with them. "

Reply Cancel ReplyCapital one screwed me to the wall with their fees as well, however, after a few years they did charge them off so all is well. It depends on EXACTLY what the purpose of the card is. . . this time it is not "for emergencies only." It is to actually rebuild my credit! Thanks! "

Reply Cancel ReplyI also think that an Orchard credit card is the better way to go than this offer. "

Reply Cancel ReplyCapital One-What's in your pocket?- THEY ARE!!! Capital One is the Worst credit card company. They use any excuse to raise your rate or charge you a fee--anything they can do to get into your wallet and take your $$$ "

Reply Cancel ReplyNo grace period for purchases means being charged interest as soon as you use the card. There goes paying the card in full by the due date to avoid any additional charges. "

Reply Cancel ReplyI've been using my orchard bank secured card for the last two years and it has raised my scores alot pay off/down your debt get inaccurate things removed from your cr and stay below 9% total utilization and your scores will rise i went from 404 avg to high 600's in about 2 years "

Reply Cancel ReplyThe first thing I did and every body else should do who has poor credit is to pay of your debt first. That alone will start improving your credit score as it did for me. Then you can apply for a regular credit card from capital one like i did or else where. The options on here i have seen so far are poor. thats why I did not go for any of the credit cards credit Karma recommended. I paid my debt, It improved my credit score to 608, that was good enough to get me approved for capital one limited credit history credit card. Today I am in a better position, but these steps i had to go through. I hope credit Karma regain our confidences by making reasonable recommendations instead of sending us places to get riped off. "

Reply Cancel ReplyPaying off debt is good advice. As for the criticism, not sure we agree. As a matter of fact we like Capital One. Unfortunately, they shut off their data feed so they aren't in our system. We believe in disclosure and transparency and will let users decide.

are you out of you mind!? $59 annual fee...I don't think so! (not to mention 20%) Go to your personal bank. I got a secured credit card for WAY less. And they do everything this one says it does. "
