I kept getting really bad offers in the mail because I didn't have great credit and then one day Capital One sent me an offer with a $300 limit no annual fees and other perks. After a few months my limit is up to $550. I have had no problems with my capital one card compared to when I was young and before you could easily pay online. At that time I felt like I was being completely taken advantage of by Capital One.
I do not recommend this particular card and suggest that you pay off bad debt and get your name out there so you can receive offers in the mail and eventually a fair and good card will come along. A card with no fees.
My credit rating at the time I got the card in the mail was at least in the high 500s low 600s so I have to say that I appreciate CAP ONE now and haven't had one single issue with them.

Capital one screwed me to the wall with their fees as well, however, after a few years they did charge them off so all is well. It depends on EXACTLY what the purpose of the card is. . . this time it is not "for emergencies only." It is to actually rebuild my credit! Thanks!

I also think that an Orchard credit card is the better way to go than this offer.

Capital One-What's in your pocket?- THEY ARE!!! Capital One is the Worst credit card company. They use any excuse to raise your rate or charge you a fee--anything they can do to get into your wallet and take your $$$

No grace period for purchases means being charged interest as soon as you use the card. There goes paying the card in full by the due date to avoid any additional charges.

The first thing I did and every body else should do who has poor credit is to pay of your debt first. That alone will start improving your credit score as it did for me. Then you can apply for a regular credit card from capital one like i did or else where. The options on here i have seen so far are poor. thats why I did not go for any of the credit cards credit Karma recommended. I paid my debt, It improved my credit score to 608, that was good enough to get me approved for capital one limited credit history credit card. Today I am in a better position, but these steps i had to go through. I hope credit Karma regain our confidences by making reasonable recommendations instead of sending us places to get riped off.

Paying off debt is good advice. As for the criticism, not sure we agree. As a matter of fact we like Capital One. Unfortunately, they shut off their data feed so they aren't in our system. We believe in disclosure and transparency and will let users decide.

are you out of you mind!? $59 annual fee...I don't think so! (not to mention 20%) Go to your personal bank. I got a secured credit card for WAY less. And they do everything this one says it does.

Capitol One is the worst...don't go with them. They are slimy *******s. I also got sued for an amt far in excess of what I really owed them due to fees they tack on for late payments, over limit charges (why did they allow me to go over the limit???) etc...They sued me and when I couldn't pay, they also garnished my wages. No worries if my kids eat or not...as long as these *******s get your money!

OMG they tried bringing me to court, too!...FOR SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS! And I talked to them several times previous to that and told them I couldn't afford more than X amount a month..I guess they didn't like the X amount I could afford!
