Credit score of 658 and approved. I have been rebuilding my credit and am starting to get where I need to be so I actually just called them instead of online app and told them I have had a steady job for three years, threw out a number I thought they wanted to hear for income and explained I want to get rid of high interest cards I have now which are three smaller ones and the lady was super understanding and asked what they totalled up to and that she would give me a credit limit that would cover all those and a little more for now so it worked out great. The rewards on the card are great too!
I think the main thing to get somewhere with them is a long job history and throw out a solid income number (they took my word for it),

I had a score of about 690 and had been receiving offers from Discover every month or more for the past year. Finally decided to apply online. Received a phone call from a guy who asked me all my information again (dunno why they needed it twice) and approved me over the phone right then. They gave me a $4,000 limit (highest of all my cards) at 17.99% APR (lowest of all my cards). Plus when I activated it they said since I had a birthday coming up I got double cash back rewards that month! This is easily my new favorite card!

Hi. I have Credit score of 685. I got a letter in the mail saying I had been 'pre approved', rather than the usual 'pre-selected'. So I went online and applied and got the old 'We need more time to process your application'. Got a letter in the mail saying to call them, so I called and talked to a very friendly girl who just asked a few questions about my salary ($100,000+) and whether that included bonuses or commissions and said she could see I had two Capital One cards with a total limit of $1500 and they would like to offer me a Discover card with a $3000 limit. Needless to say, I was very happy, as I have been trying to land one of the 'majors' for 2 years now! So, it was a good experience for me!

I was just recently approved for this card online and it should be here in a few days.. My initial credit limit is $4000.. I'm pretty sure they pulled transunion I gotta check this week but my score is 700 no bad accounts,no collections,no inquiries, and 1 credit card out of 5 with a $800 balance that I transfered to the discover card for 12 months at 0%.. This will be my first major card since I was 18 and knew nothing about credit and ultimately ruined my credit for the last 10 years. Finally back on the right track and and a lot more informed.
