Reply Cancel ReplyI have to agree - they made arbitrary changes to my account that was in excellent standing for many years. Unfortunately, closing my account dinged my credit score. Most card companies and banks are playing dirty and unfairly. Maybe this is one area Congress needs to stimulate into ceasing to rip us all off and making it worse. AX is a big part of the problem."

Reply Cancel ReplyI agree. I have cards from citi, chase, and amex. Amex has been the worst in cutting back my credit line even though I am 740 and been with them for 10 years."

Reply Cancel ReplyAvoid them ruining your credit history... i had a 2000$ credit will all bills paid in full every month... still they cut it down to 500$. I had to close the card with them in first 6 months."

Reply Cancel ReplyAMEX is cutting credit limits even on premier customers (credit score > 790) to "encourage" customers to close accounts. Avoid them like the plague."
